Number Memory Game
Each pair matches a numeral to a group of dots, so children have to count rather than just recognise a symbol.

Counting practice hiding inside a memory game
Knowing that the symbol 7 means seven things is a separate skill from being able to recite numbers to twenty. This deck forces the connection: one card shows the numeral, its partner shows that many dots.
Because players must count the dots to check a match, every turn is quiet counting practice. Children naturally start subitising — recognising small groups at a glance — after a few rounds.
Keep the range small at first. Numbers to ten with eight pairs is plenty for kindergarten; go to twenty once counting is secure.
